We love to go to the store in this house. It gives us something to do, walk around, get food and maybe even a toy or two. And some stores have cool carts for kids.
I saw this awesome idea and thought it would be nice to share with you all:
A VISUAL SHOPPING LIST!

You can search the web for some premade one or make them yourself using Word and clip art. These can be used in several different ways.
- Flashcards
- Cut them into individual cards, laminate them, hole punch the corner and put on a ring. Keep them in the car for when you go to the store.
- Bonus idea: Have a flash card set with numbers to teach quantity.
- Page
- Keep it on one sheet of paper, also laminate so it doesn’t get wet or crumpled, then point or use a dry erase marker to show which items are needed. Can also use the marker to write how many items are needed.
- Craft project
- Draw your own! Have the kids join in! This can be done each time or initially.
- Digital
- If you’re like me, all of the above would get LOST. So I like the idea of an electronic version. So I searched the web and found a cool option.
